Recently, we had the opportunity to transform the crawl space of this homeowner’s property in Marengo, IN, which was in dire need of a comprehensive overhaul. Initially, the homeowner reached out due to concerns about the stability and humidity levels of their crawl space, noticing uneven floors and a musty smell throughout their home. After making the call to our Customer Care team, a prompt home inspection was scheduled. Our System Design Specialist, equipped with expertise and technology, uncovered the issues at hand: insufficient support below the home leading to structural sagging, elevated humidity levels contributing to unhealthy air quality, and a lack of an effective water management system. Our diagnosis? A complete crawl space repair solution was necessary for a healthier, more stable home. The strategy involved installing 6 SmartJacks to robustly support and level the floors above, and reinforcing the structure with 24 supplemental beams and joint assist brackets for additional strength. In addition, our TFS single sump pump system installation and dehumidifier, addressing both water and air quality issues head-on. Lastly, for the cherry on top, we installed our Encapsulation system —a clean, moisture-controlled environment beneath their home. It was gratifying for both parties to see the crawl space transform, knowing that the measures taken would not only offer immediate improvement but safeguard the home for the future.
